Game On 2/5/13 against Phelps

I didn't blog about the last game against Phelps cause I thought we was gonna win today against them and I know you guys are sick of encouraging speeches about losing. I really thought we was gonna pull this one off but we didn't. I've come to see that when it comes to the 4th period we start to decline and lose focus,we are a great team so we should be winning all our games. Haven't seen not one team we have gone up against that we could not beat. I really see what it is, and that is lack of focus. You guys play well I just need us to communicate more and run that offense like I showed you. If we can bring that together we have a good chance of winning. All in all I'm still very proud of you guys as a team, lets really communicate and become that. Crefeld Rhinos are WINNERS!!!!!!

Game against Aom Academy on 1/22/13

Ok guys that game against Aom academy was a good game. If it wasn't for that press at the beginning which made them go up a quick 10 points on us we would have slaughtered them. Even though we came back and went up by 3 we still should have won that game.One thing we got to keep in our heads is that we are better at basketball than anybody.Last year team was very good, this year team is even BETTER. Lets just focus on what we doing when we're out there.By the way I have to commend Tony Tucker on coming off the bench 6 man and really putting on a show, Tone you did exactly what a 6 man suppose to do thanks.I actually commend everyone, you guys played very well and you have to remember Aom academy always give us a run for our money, but when they come to us we are going to send them home crying (lol).. All in all I'm proud of everyone of you, You guys played well!!

Game against The Lewis School

Good game guys, but I really don't think as a team you played up to your full potential ... I know as well as others that this team really is unstoppable... We have good players and an all around love for one another..But I want you guys to know as coach I take full responsiblity for losing our games, even though I feel it was meant for us to lose these games. I've learned a lot this year on how to coach better and train you guys to be better players. Next season if nothing changes in my life and I'm still your coach, I am going to take you guys to another level in basketball. Just like I know you learned your strengths and weakness, I've learned mines to. So our weaknesses will diminish because next season history will not repeat itself! This might have been our last game but we still have the teachers to play, (in which we will DESTROY!) LOL!!... All in all take every practice and every game that we have had as a learning experience and something to look back on and say "Even though we lost we are still WINNERS!!.. 1-2-3--> Rhinos!!!

Possible Game Tuesday 2/21/12

Like I said in the last post we may have a game this Tuesday 2/21/12 against The Lewis School.. waiting to here back from the coach. She is trying to get rides for her team to come to Philly. I thought it would have been to much on us and your parents to go to Princeton New Jersey for a game. I will let evryone know by this week end and definitely Monday if this game will happen.

Manayunk game/ info

LOL ... We let Manayunk do it to us again. Notice I said "LET" . They have become our new nemisis,lol. Good game tho guys.Had a good conversation with a few teammates on our way home yesterday. I see that you guys are maturing and putting your losses in prospective. This team this year was fairly new to each other, gameplay wise. There are certain players that's not here this year so you guys had to learn to play a lil different .I believe you learned how each other game is now. I believe next season we are going to blow other teams away! You guys lost these games so you can reflect and become stronger in areas that you are a lil weak in . I see lots of growth in everyone of you.We might have one more game left with The Lewis school from Princeton Newjersey, if so it will be a home game Tuesday 2/21/12. I will let everyone know if this game will happen by Monday. So please let your parents know that you might have a game tuesday. I'm so proud of you guys because you always show great spirit in every game you play, remember I'm here for everyone of you on and off the court. Go Rhinos!

Game today against Manayunk Academy

OoOOOOOmMMMMMGGGGG!!!!!! What a phenomenal game guys!!! You guys played like lions after its prey..I know, I know we lost by 2 points and how we lost was crazy! But it taught us one thing , don't count your chickens before they hatch . We were winning by 4 points with 37 secs left ,and the tables turned on us. Not because we played bad, it was because that's the way the cookie crumbles guys! It's life, and sometimes life is not fair. Let this game make us STRONGER! To Dylan, I guess u should hurt yourself more often cause you was a BEAST lol!! All of you played like professionals even the bench! I was sooooooooooo proud of all of you.I really mean it from my heart. Take this as a learning experience and apply it to your everyday lives. Yes we are here to play and win, but we are also here to learn. This game has made me feel so much more love for all of you, because I'm watching you guys improve in every game and in every practice.This game today should have been on the news lol. So keep ya heads up guys and remember we haven't lost games because we are a bad team, we lost because it was just meant. Go Rhinos!!!!

Game today against Wissahickon Charter

Yes we lost, but great great game.. I say this cause you guys were losing by 21 points and y'all came back and brought the game with in 6 points.. That shows a lot!!! You guys started focusing and saw what you had to do ... If we had one more minute left on the clock that game was ours. Everybody stepped up and gave the team what they had to offer... We may have lost, but I left with a SMILE! ... Good job Rhinos! You guys made me proud..

No Practice on 1/12/12

There will be no practice on Thursday 1/12 because the school is having an art show ...

Todays Game against Wyncote

First off Happy New Years!! Ha Ha wow guys, yall let this one slip away ... as I always say you all are a very good team, I mean a VERY GOOD team ... I believe we just need to keep our heads in the game ... We have not played anyone yet that I felt we can not beat ... and I know you all feel the same ... tomorrow lets work on some actual offensive secret plays ... All of you have something special in your own arsonal to win games and tomorrow we are going to bring those special talents to life .... Lets keep our heads up and don't lose morale because we lost ... remember I know you want to win but all in all we are creating good memories, stories to talk about when you are older ... no matter what i'm proud of everyone of you, see you tomorrow @ 3:30 ... Game on 12/12

Okay The School of The deaf has a well polished team ... they were good and "BIG" lol, but in all reality we still could have beat them .. we only lost because of turn overs and fast-break points ...you guys defense like I always say is flawless, but we must make points to balance it out ... I was still proud of everyone of you, reguardless of the score ... We made them shoot from the outside which is our plan every time and it worked .. All we have to do is work on no turn overs and executing shots that count and we can win games ... I had a lot of fun and it looked like you all did also ... practice today will consist of just shooting and scoring ... Lets do this Rhinos! By the way Thanks to Susan Ginsberg (Ori's mom)  for helping to transport the team to the game and supplying the team with gatorade and snacks ... we appreciate you a lot Susan!

Game Tomorrow

Ok game tomorrow with "The School of the Deaf" ... I heard they are a tough group, but The Crefeld Rhinos are tougher! Remember we are going to PRESS them early to see what happens.Plus we are going to run a tight tough zone .... We can win this game, we are a very good team . But all in all have fun and play as a TEAM ...

All those who are going to the game to play are leaving school @ 3:00 so we can get there at a good time,...we will be returning to Crefeld when the game is done... we should be back @ Crefeld by 5:30-5:45 the latest .... please tell your PARENTS whats going on, they need to know your actions and where-abouts ... see you then

Tuesday Practice

Good practice ...You guys really listened to what I was showing you and your passing and shooting improved ... I watched each of you and I was impressed ... By the way congratulations to ORI for winning the contest of first person to make a shot from half court shooting BACKWARDS...Wow! amazing and fun.. Everyone else gave up but she kept trying and made it, see what setting your mind and persistence gets you....and she won $10.00 . Great Job Ori just dont try that during a game LOL. Todays Game against Wissahickion Charter

WOW! what a game! .... You guys did a great job. Even tho we lost (by only 1 point) I believe you still played well .. Your defense was flawless, but I think you got a lil excited when it was time to score , which is understandable.All in all  I was proud of you and I had lots of fun . This week practices will consist of passing drills, and executing shots in the paint. Practice makes perfect and I really think we have a very good team .

Practice Today (Learning The Press)

Congratulations to ORI for winning the "Knock Out" game .. I really like this game guys cause it teaches you to be persistent and to make sure your shots count .. good job to every one! Also I'm impressed at how quickly you guys caught on to the "Full Court Press" ... All you have to remember is to get in position and be aggressive and trap your opponent, put PRESSURE on the ball , create chaos,... This play is actually like a Blitz in football .. all in all good practice see ya tomorrow @ activities.

As you can see we had to cancel our games with The Kohelet-Yeshiva school do to religious reasons that I will tell you about when I see you guys Tuesday ... will be adding a couple of games to the schedule with the Phelps school soon .. Todays Practice

Very very fun practice today ... Why on earth did you guys let Amir win the free throw contest? I really didnt want him to win ...lol.. but good practice! .. especially with the passing drills .. remember we are going to learn a "Full Court Press" Tuesday and Thursday ...I know you guys said that alot of you will be going on a trip but those that are not please come to practice cause we will keep it going, the others will learn on Thursday ... have a great Turkey day and don't eat so much ..lol

Scrimmage Game canceled

Sorry guys as you may know our scrimmage game has been canceled... Everything for reasons, I think they was scare of us...Lol! But practice is still on for tomorrow see u then..

Scrimmage Game on Monday 21th

Ok guys our first game tomorrow or today when ever you read this ... Lets have some fun ... if you perceive the game as fun and not stressfull,  win or lose we will win ... did that make sense? LOL, yall know what I mean ... just play your best .... and to my (forwards) and (center) remember to "Box Out" and grab those rebounds! Guards make it happen offensive play wise ... I'm excited, lets go out there and have a ball... its all about memories and lets make good ones ... see you in the gym.

Friday activities (basket ball)

Hey guys, Brian will be practicing with you today Friday 11/18 ... as I told you guys I had Crazy, crazy car problems this week and i have to handle it personally..it ends today !! ..lol .. But keep in mind, play agressive, and remember your positions on the 2-1-2 defense... You guys have really impress me on learning and executing it. its usually called 2-1-2 or 2-3 zone ..
I've posted links to show exactly what you guys have accomplished... I like video 2 better... remember prepare yourself for a scrimmage Monday (and remind your parents) Please make sure you have your Jerseys and Shorts. Lets have a good time and win this!
